Bromelain

I happen to love pineapples so I found this particularly exciting.

A recent study showed that the enzyme Bromelain was effective in preventing viral entry in host cells. It was found to be effective in dissolving SARS-COV-2 spikes and envelope proteins. And when the researchers combined it with 20 mg/ml of acetylcysteine, the SARS-COV-2 spike and envelope proteins fully disintegrated.
How cool is that!
This is great news if it can literally dissolve spike protein before it interacts with our ACE2 receptors. It could make the Sars virus like the other gazillion viruses that are all around us but can’t enter our cells.

Speaking of viruses……Did you know there are more viruses on earth than stars in the universe? I always say, if they wanted us dead they would have taken care of that a very long time ago!
My theory is they are here to help us detox and to ‘upgrade’ our operating systems. Just think, without the help of a virus a woman wouldn’t have a placenta. Yep, it’s true :)

Some of what Bromelain does:
Studies conducted in both the lab and on animals show that bromelain has a variety of fibrinolytic, anti-edematous, antithrombotic, and anti-inflammatory effects. The body can absorb bromelain to a significant extent without it ceasing its proteolytic activity or having any negative side effects. Numerous therapeutic advantages of bromelain include wound debridement, improved drug absorption, and the management of sinusitis, bronchitis, angina pectoris, surgical trauma, and thrombophlebitis. Additionally, it treats numerous cardiovascular conditions, diarrhoea, and osteoarthritis. Bromelain also encourages apoptotic cell death and exhibits some anti-cancerous properties. ”* source below.

Bromelain was first isolated in 1891 by the Venezuelan chemist Vicente Marcano by fermenting the fruit of pineapple.
So if you’re looking for a fun source for bromelain then check out Tepache! It’s a fermented Mexican pineapple ‘beer’ made with the rinds and the peels. The rinds and the peels contain the highest amounts of bromelain. But if you’re going to buy it, please buy Organic. Conventional pineapples have a lot of pesticides sprayed on them. If you want to make your own, it’s pretty simple.
The ingredients are:
Organic Pineapple peel and core
Piloncillo sugar
and clean water, preferably charged up on the Balance Disc :)

Thanks for reading and let me know if you make the Tepache!
And remember, the number for NAC N-acetyl cysteine is 7437485678375346 on page 192.
NAC and Bromelain work hand in hand! But always check with your health care provider before starting any new supplements.
Love and Hugs,
~Christine
