Propolis

I could go on and on about the many benefits of propolis (bee glue)…. and I think I will, lol.
I wrote about it in the Newsletter dated Oct. 29, 2020 but this amazing substance deserves so much more attention.
In that Newsletter I talked about how propolis can prevent mold in your home by diffusing it’s vapors into the air. But did you know that 5G increases mold growth? Yep. A simple test was done where one petri dish with mold was shielded from EMF-5g and the other petri dish was left unprotected. After a period of time, the unprotected mold increased by 600 times while the other mold remained the same! That’s just crazy!

If you suspect that you have mold, do turn off your wifi at night and run a propolis diffuser (I bought mine here: https://beehealthyfarms.com/).

Melatonin is a wonderful detoxifier of heavy metals in the brain, like mercury, but in some countries it is not available for purchase without a prescription. Don’t worry! Propolis can do many of the same things! Propolis contains a substance called CAPE, Caffeic Acid Phenethyl Ester, which in studies is effective against infections, oxidative stress, inflammation, cancer, diabetes, viruses, neurodegeneration, and anxiety, to name just a few.
Seriously! The list goes on and on.

CAPE has been reported to be protective against Alzheimer’s disease, shown to breakdown blood clots in vitro (meaning it was tested in a petri dish), and even decrease pain.
I can’t think of another substance that has so many benefits!

But one thing to consider is it’s not very bioavailable. That means it’s hard for your body to absorb all it’s preciousness. But there are studies now using a liposomal preparation of propolis which has much greater bioavailabilty. And it’s super simple to make your own liposomal propolis. Just mix the propolis with a phospholipid liquid such as NOW Supplements, Sunflower Lecithin available on amazon, shake well, and Voilà! You now have a propolis extract that will get to more places in your body to do it’s magic. Just be careful about your delivery device. Propolis will stick to anything and it’s difficult to remove from surfaces. Bees use it to line their hives to protect the inside from the elements.

And did you think I was kidding about how I could go on and on about propolis? Just take a look at this chart!

But I’ll let you explore more on your own. This website had a lot of good propolis information https://www.propolisscience.org

For me, I’ve been using propolis for 2 years now and I am hoping that it may be one of the substances that gets us through this mess we’re in with toxins in our bodies. Did I mention it can break down blood clots? Help prevent Alzheimer’s?

Bees are truly beautiful creatures. Docile and gentle unless disturbed. Every year I look forward to their arrival to my huge starfruit tree so that I can marvel up close as they work.

I’ll leave you here with a couple Bee quotes:

”Bees… by virtue of a certain geometrical forethought, knew that the hexagon is greater than the square and the triangle and will hold more honey for the same expenditure of material.”
― Pappus of Alexandria, Greek Mathematician, 350 AD

”When the bee comes to your house, let her have beer; you may want to visit the bee’s house some day.”
-Congo Proverb

Bees Rock!
